Project Overview

Villa Solis is a luxury villa retreat nestled in the golden hills of the Algarve, where whitewashed walls, a heated infinity pool, and uninterrupted views across the Portuguese countryside create the kind of setting that guests spend months anticipating and years trying to return to. Accommodating just twelve guests at a time, the property offers an exclusivity that larger resorts simply cannot replicate — private dining, curated local experiences, and a level of personal attention that leaves a lasting impression.

Villa Solis had no shortage of demand. But almost all of it flowed through a single OTA, leaving the business exposed, margin-thin, and without any direct relationship with the guests it had worked so hard to impress.

The work began with a clear strategic brief: reduce dependency on a single booking channel and build the direct relationships that give a property like Villa Solis long-term resilience. A distribution and retention strategy was designed around the full guest journey — from first discovery through to post-stay communication — identifying exactly where the property needed to show up and how to convert that visibility into owned bookings. An email programme was built from the ground up, turning past guests into a direct audience and giving the team a channel they controlled entirely. Repeat bookings, referrals, and seasonal campaigns replaced the passive reliance on a third party, and for the first time Villa Solis had the foundation to grow on its own terms.
